T W Bracher is one of the main suppliers of uniform cap components used specifically in the production of quality caps for the military, police, ambulance, security and airlines throughout the world. 


With over 1500 peak knives in stock, we can offer peaks in a variety of shapes and in a number of different materials to suit any particular end use.

The construction of a uniform peak can be 3 ply, 2 ply or cloth covered depending on the characteristics required, eg, waterproof, flexibility, lightweight, application of embroidery, low cost etc.


A range of embroidery designs can be sewn through or appliquéd on to patent or fabric covered peaks in a variety of shapes.

Materials commonly utilised include:

  • 2% real Gold or 90% Silver wires 
  • Gold or Silver plated wires
  • Metallised polyester Gold and Silver thread


We stock a variety of materials suitable for cap stiffeners eg. Plastic, buckrams and plastic mesh. These can also be perforated to increase ventilation.

We can also supply a range of flat and shaped front supports plus rectangular cap wires and the associated ferrules for closing these wires to form rings. Foam piping is also supplied in various diameters for use in the crowns of caps.


We manufacture a range of chinstraps and front straps in both Black, Brown and White patent PVC, simulated leather, real leather and real patent leather. Also available are chincords and naval oris straps.


Sweatbands are available in either vegetable tanned leather or simulated leather in a range of stock colours. They can be supplied in a variety of shapes and widths from 12mm to 55mm wide and up to 660mm long and finished with “brachering”, a special form of stitching pioneered by Mr Bracher himself.

Sweatbands can also be perforated to increase ventilation and we have an in house printing facility to enable specific logos to be printed onto sweatbands to customise the product.

Leather lining pads are also manufactured for use in safety, riding and police helmets.
